Dr Mark Savage

Dr Mark Savage is a highly accomplished Consultant Physician and Endocrinologist who provides comprehensive care for patients experiencing a wide range of endocrine and metabolic disorders. With a reassuring and patient-centred approach, he focuses on delivering personalised treatment plans that help individuals manage chronic conditions and improve their overall health outcomes. Dr Savage is dedicated to empowering his patients through education, ensuring they fully understand their diagnoses and treatment options.

His clinical expertise spans all aspects of endocrinology, with a particular focus on diabetes management, including Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, diabetes in pregnancy, and insulin pump therapy. Dr Savage also specialises in the diagnosis and treatment of thyroid and parathyroid diseases, calcium and bone health, and pituitary and adrenal disorders. Additionally, he provides expert guidance on reproductive endocrinology and weight management, tailoring his care to meet the unique physiological needs of each patient.

Dr Savage completed his medical training in the United Kingdom, obtaining his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in 1986 and his Doctor of Medicine in 1997 from the University of Manchester. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of London, having achieved this status in 2000, and became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2013, specialising in Endocrinology and General Medicine. He holds professional memberships with several prestigious organisations, including the Endocrine Society of Australia, the European Association for the Study of Diabetes, the Australasian Diabetes in Pregnancy Society, the Endocrine Society of the United Kingdom, and Diabetes UK.
