Dr Mark Perko

Dr Mark Perko is a specialist upper limb surgeon. Dr Perko treats conditions affecting the shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand. Their practice has a focus on sports injuries, and they have treated many elite sportspeople. Dr Perko is also available to see patients with general orthopaedic problems and urgent injuries.

At an initial consultation, Dr Perko will assess the patient's condition. This will include taking into account the patient's symptoms, as well as performing a physical examination and reviewing any imaging the patient may have. Additional imaging may be required, and this can be arranged. An individual treatment programme will be advised, and if surgery is appropriate, a discussion of the procedure, whether open or arthroscopic, will be given. Dr Perko is happy to work with the patient's treating physiotherapist or can advise on recommended individuals for any rehabilitation required.
