Dr Mark Nethercote

Dr Mark Nethercote is a dedicated General Paediatrician who provides comprehensive medical care for newborns, children, and adolescents. Born and raised in Ballarat, he returned to his hometown to support local families with his medical expertise. He is deeply committed to delivering compassionate, family-centred care, helping parents navigate the complexities of childhood health and development.

With a strong focus on patient and parent education, Dr Nethercote aims to empower families by providing them with the knowledge and tools needed to manage their children's health. His clinical practice covers a broad range of paediatric conditions, with particular interests in childhood allergies, incontinence, and encopresis. He believes in a collaborative approach to healthcare, working closely with families to achieve the best possible outcomes for their children.

Dr Nethercote completed his medical education, earning his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS). He went on to complete advanced specialist training in paediatric medicine, achieving fellowship status as a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP). Additionally, he completed a dedicated fellowship as a Gastroenterology Fellow at a major children's hospital, further refining his clinical skills in managing complex paediatric conditions.
