Dr Mark Heynes

Dr Mark Heynes is a highly qualified and dedicated Anaesthetist who provides comprehensive anaesthetic services for a wide range of major and minor medical procedures. With a patient-centred approach, he is committed to ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of individuals undergoing surgery. His dual expertise in both anaesthesia and pain medicine allows him to deliver tailored care that addresses each patient's unique perioperative and post-operative needs.

Dr Heynes completed his undergraduate medical training at Monash University, obtaining his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. He went on to pursue postgraduate studies at the University of Sydney, where he earned a Master of Medicine in Pain Management. Dr Heynes completed his specialist training in anaesthesia at a major metropolitan referral hospital and its associated healthcare facilities, followed by advanced training in pain medicine in Singapore. He is a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists and holds a Fellowship of the Faculty of Pain Medicine within the same college.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr Heynes is actively involved in medical education, serving as an Adjunct Lecturer at Monash University. His clinical interests span general anaesthesia, regional anaesthetic techniques, and comprehensive pain management. Having previously served as a Visiting Specialist at a prominent tertiary hospital, he brings a wealth of clinical knowledge to his practice, ensuring that patients receive the highest standard of evidence-based care before, during, and after their procedures.
