Dr Marita Smith is a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatrist who provides comprehensive mental health care to adults and young people. As a General Clinical Adult Psychiatrist, she is committed to delivering personalised, evidence-based treatment that addresses the unique needs of each individual. In her clinical practice, Dr Smith specialises in a wide range of mental health conditions and therapeutic modalities. Her areas of clinical interest include anxiety disorders, depression, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), autism spectrum disorders, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). She is also highly skilled in managing obsessive-compulsive disorders, addiction, and problem gambling, as well as assisting individuals with marital issues. To support her patients, she utilises diverse therapeutic interventions, including cognitive behavioural therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and supportive psychotherapy.

Dr Smith completed her medical education at the University of Melbourne, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in 1990.
