Dr. Marie Karamesinis

Dr. Marie Karamesinis is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who is committed to providing high-quality, comprehensive medical care to individuals and families. Throughout her career, Dr. Karamesinis has developed a diverse range of clinical interests, with a particular focus on chronic health management, healthy ageing, and mental health. She is highly skilled in supportive and psychoanalytic psychotherapy, offering patients a safe space to address complex psychological challenges, stress, and emotional well-being. Her holistic approach to general practice also encompasses women's health, family therapy, and community child health, ensuring that patients of all ages receive well-rounded and personalised care.

Dr. Karamesinis completed her undergraduate medical training at Monash University, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery, and receiving academic prizes in both Paediatrics and Psychiatry. Committed to continuous professional development, she has obtained numerous postgraduate qualifications, including a Diploma of Community Child Health from Flinders University, a Certificate in Women's Health and a Certificate in Stress Management from Monash University, and a Certificate in Clinical Hypnosis from the College of Medical Hypnosis. Additionally, she holds a Diploma in Family Therapy from the Alma Family Therapy Centre and has completed clinical training in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy with the Victorian Association of Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy.
