Dr Maria Barker-Mott is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who provides comprehensive healthcare to individuals and families. Raised in rural Queensland, she brings a warm, patient-centred approach to her practice, ensuring that every patient feels heard and supported. Dr Barker-Mott is committed to delivering high-quality, holistic medical care, addressing both acute health concerns and long-term wellness.

With a broad range of clinical interests, Dr Barker-Mott specialises in women's health, mental health, and chronic pain management. She is also a highly qualified Medical Acupuncturist, utilising this therapeutic modality to assist patients suffering from conditions such as arthritis, headaches, anxiety, and musculoskeletal pain. Her integrative approach allows her to combine traditional General Practice with evidence-based complementary therapies to achieve optimal health outcomes for her patients.

Dr Barker-Mott completed her medical degree at the University of Queensland, graduating with a strong foundation in general medicine. Following her university studies, she completed her residency training at a major Queensland hospital before undertaking specialist General Practice training across Brisbane. She obtained her Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2012. Additionally, she has completed a Fellowship of the Australian Medical Acupuncture College and is registered as a Medical Acupuncturist with the national medical board.
