Dr. Marek Garbowski

Mr Marek Garbowski is a Consultant Vascular Surgeon skilled in both open and endovascular surgical techniques. He currently sees patients at his practice Perth Vascular Clinic, as well as Joondalup Private Hospital and St John of God Subiaco.

After earning his medical degree (MBBS) from Wroclaw Medical University in Poland in 1994, he worked in Sydney, Hobart, and Melbourne. He completed advanced surgical training in Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at The Royal Adelaide, The Repatriation General Hospitals, and Flinders Medical Centre in Adelaide, as well as Waikato Hospital in Hamilton, New Zealand. In 2004, he became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.

In 2005, Mr Garbowski founded Perth Vascular Clinic at St John of God Subiaco Hospital. He treats vascular conditions using both open and endovascular procedures, serving public and private patients of all ages, with access to both public and private hospitals for surgeries.

Mr Garbowski’s clinical interests include diabetic foot problems, endovascular intervention for peripheral vascular disease, aneurysms, carotid stenting, hyperhidrosis, medical management of vascular conditions, minimally invasive endovascular surgery, ulcers, varicose veins, vascular access surgery, and comprehensive vascular surgery.

Passionate about vascular health, Mr Garbowski teaches at the University of Western Australia (UWA) and Notre Dame University, imparting his expertise to the next generation of medical practitioners.
