Dr Maree Colosimo

Dr Maree Colosimo is a highly dedicated Medical Oncologist who specialises in the comprehensive care and management of patients diagnosed with cancer. With a strong clinical focus on breast cancer, she is deeply committed to supporting patients throughout their treatment journey, with a particular emphasis on cancer survivorship. Dr Colosimo works closely with patients to design personalised treatment pathways, ensuring her patients receive compassionate, evidence-based care tailored to their unique diagnoses.

In addition to her clinical practice, Dr Colosimo is actively involved in clinical research aimed at improving patient outcomes and managing the side effects of cancer therapies. Her research interests include the management of chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy, a common and challenging side effect of neurotoxic chemotherapy agents. By exploring supportive care interventions, she strives to enhance the quality of life for individuals undergoing active cancer treatment.

Dr Colosimo obtained her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from Monash University, graduating in 1992. She subsequently completed her specialist training and was awarded a Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. Demonstrating her leadership in the medical community, she serves as a Director on the Executive Committee of the Australasian Society for Breast Disease, where she contributes to advancing multidisciplinary education and standards in breast care.
