Dr Marcus Yu Chen

Dr Marcus Yu Chen is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who is deeply committed to guiding patients along their health journeys. He believes in empowering individuals by providing them with the essential knowledge and tools required to manage their own health effectively. With a patient-centred approach, Dr Chen delivers comprehensive care across all aspects of General Practice, ensuring that each patient receives personalised and reassuring support.

Dr Chen completed his medical training at Monash University, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery, and a Bachelor of Medical Science. Following his initial medical training and junior medical years within a regional health network, he successfully obtained his Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. In addition to his clinical work, Dr Chen contributes to the education of the next generation of medical professionals as a part-time Tutor at the University of Melbourne, teaching foundational biosciences and clinical skills.

While Dr Chen enjoys the diverse nature of family medicine, he has developed particular clinical interests in preventative medicine, child and paediatric health, chronic disease management, and mental health support. He is passionate about preventative care and screening to help patients maintain long-term wellness. Outside of his medical practice, Dr Chen enjoys staying active by playing basketball, following professional sports, and spending time gaming with friends.
