Dr Malini Bose

Dr Malini Bose is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who specialises in integrative and functional medicine. She is committed to providing holistic, patient-centred care that focuses on identifying and addressing the root causes of illness rather than merely managing symptoms. Dr Bose believes in the concept of slow medicine, taking the time to thoroughly understand each patient's unique circumstances, lifestyle, and health goals. By empowering individuals with knowledge and involving them in the decision-making process, she helps them actively optimise and maintain their long-term health and well-being.

With a broad range of clinical interests, Dr Bose focuses on metabolic health, addressing conditions such as insulin resistance, type 2 diabetes, hypertension, and high cholesterol. She is highly experienced in women's health, supporting patients with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), premenstrual syndrome (PMS), perimenopause, menopause, endometriosis, and subfertility. Additionally, her practice encompasses gut health, including irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO), as well as thyroid disorders, mental health concerns like anxiety and depression, stress management, and burnout. She also performs iron infusions and utilises therapeutic carbohydrate restriction, such as low-carbohydrate and ketogenic lifestyles, to support metabolic recovery.

Dr Bose graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (with Honours) from Monash University in 2014. She went on to gain extensive clinical experience across various hospitals and general practice clinics in Victoria, New South Wales, and Queensland. In 2020, she became a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP). Committed to continuous learning, she completed a Diploma of Child Health and earned her Fellowship with the Australian College of Nutritional and Environmental Medicine (FACNEM) in 2023. Dr Bose is currently pursuing a Fellowship with the Australasian Society of Lifestyle Medicine (ASLM) and is an active member of the Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM). Alongside her clinical work, she has contributed to medical education as an Academic Tutor and University Lecturer.
