Dr Lynette Yong

Dr Lynette Yong is a dedicated Consultant Psychiatrist who provides comprehensive mental health care for adult patients. Based in Victoria, Australia, she specialises in general adult psychiatry, supporting individuals from the age of 18 onwards. Dr Yong is committed to delivering attentive, high-quality care, helping patients navigate a wide range of emotional and mental health challenges. Her clinical focus encompasses the assessment, diagnosis, and management of conditions such as depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders, trauma, psychosis, and personality issues.

Adopting a holistic approach to mental wellness, Dr Yong utilises the biopsychosocial model to tailor treatments to each individual's unique needs. She integrates biological, psychological, social, and spiritual frameworks to provide comprehensive care, offering both pharmacotherapy and psychotherapy. Dr Yong completed her medical training in Australia, earning her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Adelaide in 1999. Following her medical degree, she undertook extensive specialist training in psychiatry. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP) and is recognised as an Accredited Member of the Faculty of Adult Psychiatry.
