Dr Louise Knapp

Dr Louise Knapp is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who provides comprehensive, evidence-based care to patients of all ages. As a versatile General Practitioner, Dr Knapp enjoys all aspects of family medicine. She has developed particular expertise in several key areas, including child health, women's health, and reproductive and sexual health. Her clinical focus also extends to preventative health and lifestyle medicine, where she works closely with patients to promote healthy habits and prevent chronic conditions. Additionally, she is experienced in travel medicine, helping patients prepare safely for international journeys.

Dr Knapp began her academic journey in Brisbane, where she completed a Bachelor of Science majoring in Biomedical Science at the University of Queensland. She then relocated to the Gold Coast to undertake her medical training at Griffith University, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) with First Class Honours. Following her university studies, she completed her residency training, gaining valuable experience in rural general practice, paediatrics, obstetrics, and emergency medicine. Dr Knapp obtained her Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 2018. To further her clinical expertise, she also completed a Diploma of Child Health and holds a National Certificate in Reproductive and Sexual Health.
