Dr Louise Johns

Dr Louise Johns is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who is committed to providing high-quality, patient-centred care. She believes in empowering her patients to play an active role in managing their health, ensuring they feel confident that their best interests are always at the heart of every consultation. Dr Johns strives to deliver the same exceptional standard of care that she would expect for herself and her own family, creating a reassuring and supportive environment for patients at all stages of life.

Dr Johns obtained her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from Monash University in 1990. She subsequently pursued further training through the Family Medicine Programme of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, achieving her Fellowship (FRACGP) in 1997. She is a member of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and maintains a strong commitment to ongoing professional development to ensure her clinical knowledge remains at the forefront of general medicine.

With a broad range of clinical interests, Dr Johns enjoys supporting patients across all aspects of general practice. She has a particular focus on women's health, including family planning, contraception, and menopause and peri-menopause management. Her expertise also extends to sexual and reproductive health, antenatal and perinatal care, and post-natal support, having spent a significant portion of her career associated with a mother-baby unit assisting new parents and their infants. Additionally, she is highly skilled in child and adolescent health, care of the elderly, and is fully accredited for Implanon insertion and removal.

Outside of her medical practice, Dr Johns is a devoted mother of three young adults. She enjoys a variety of personal pursuits that promote her own wellbeing, including cooking, baking, reading, yoga, bushwalking, and beach combing.
