Dr Lisa Collins

Dr Lisa Collins is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who provides high-quality, evidence-based healthcare to her patients. With a patient-focused approach, she is committed to delivering holistic, non-judgemental, and supportive medical care. Dr Collins believes in treating every individual with the utmost respect, ensuring that patients feel heard and supported throughout their health journeys.

As a General Practitioner, Dr Collins has developed a diverse range of clinical interests, with a particular focus on family health. She has extensive expertise in women's health, pregnancy care, and newborn care, supporting both mothers and babies through the early stages of parenthood. Additionally, she is highly skilled in general paediatrics, childhood diseases, adult health, seniors' health, and preventative healthcare. Her clinical practice is further enhanced by her specialised training in Neuroprotective Developmental Care (the Possums programme), which guides her holistic approach to infant sleep, settling, and feeding challenges.

Dr Collins completed her medical education at the University of Newcastle, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine in 1998. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP), reflecting her commitment to maintaining the highest professional standards in general practice. In addition to her medical qualifications, she is a board-certified International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), allowing her to offer expert clinical support for breastfeeding and lactation concerns.

Outside of her clinical practice, Dr Collins enjoys spending quality time with her husband and three children. Her personal interests include exploring good food, reading, photography, and travelling.
