Dr Lisa Byrom

Dr Lisa Byrom is a specialist dermatologist, Associate Professor, and Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists (FACD), recognised for her expertise in medical, surgical, and procedural dermatology. She earned a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in 2011, and a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in 2015 from The University of Queensland.

Her clinical practice encompasses the management of complex acne, rosacea, inflammatory skin conditions, skin cancer detection, hair loss, and pregnancy-associated dermatoses. Her procedural capabilities include skin surgery, acne scar management, chemical peels, CO2 laser resurfacing, intralesional steroids, and vascular laser treatments for facial redness and dilated blood vessels.

A clinical educator and researcher, Dr Byrom serves as the Queensland Director of Training for the Australasian College of Dermatologists, Co-Chair of the national All About Acne group, and an Associate Professor at The University of Queensland. Her contributions to dermatology education have been recognised with awards including the Australasian College of Dermatologists President's Citation and the Australian Medical Association Queensland President's Award.
