Dr Lisa Burns

Dr Lisa Burns is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who is committed to providing comprehensive, high-quality healthcare to individuals and families. With a patient-centred approach, she focuses on building strong, lasting relationships with her patients, supporting them through all stages of life. Dr Burns is particularly passionate about preventative health and is dedicated to maximising health outcomes for patients living with chronic diseases.

Dr Burns obtained her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) with honours from Monash University in 2002. Following her graduation, she gained extensive clinical experience working across several major metropolitan and specialist hospitals, where she completed a Diploma of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. She completed her specialist general practice training and was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 2009.

In her clinical practice, Dr Burns has developed a strong focus on women's and children's health. She is accredited to provide shared maternity care in collaboration with major maternity hospitals, offering supportive care throughout pregnancy. Her technical expertise includes performing iron infusions as well as the insertion and removal of contraceptive implants. Outside of her clinical work, she understands the unique pressures faced by working parents, which further informs her empathetic and practical approach to family medicine.
