Dr Liam Egan

Dr Liam Egan is a dedicated and highly skilled General Practitioner who provides comprehensive, patient-centred care in Prahran, Australia. Dr Egan graduated from the University of London (Guy's, King's & St Thomas's) in the United Kingdom in 2001. After gaining valuable experience across a diverse range of hospital specialities, he completed his specialist General Practitioner training in 2008, obtaining membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP). Upon relocating permanently to Melbourne in 2016, he was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP).

Throughout his career, Dr Egan has developed a strong focus on sexual and reproductive health, having previously held a Specialty Doctor position in this field alongside his general practice work in Scotland. His clinical interests encompass LGBTQIA+ health, sexual health, and contraceptive care. He is highly proficient in performing clinical procedures, including the insertion and removal of Implanon, Mirena, and other intrauterine devices (IUDs), as well as the excision of skin lesions. Outside of his clinical practice, Dr Egan enjoys cycling, swimming, travelling, and playing music.
