Dr Lea Freeman is a highly dedicated General Practitioner and Breast Physician who provides comprehensive, patient-centred care in Southport, Australia. With a deep commitment to supporting patients through their health journeys, she focuses her clinical practice on breast medicine, bridging multiple disciplines to offer expert guidance on both benign and malignant breast conditions. Dr Freeman completed her Bachelor of Science at the University of Melbourne in 1999, followed by her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery at the University of Queensland in 2003. Demonstrating her commitment to general medicine and specialised breast care, she achieved Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2009 and Fellowship of the Australasian Society of Breast Physicians in 2020. As a leader in her field, she serves as the President of the Australasian Society of Breast Physicians and is an active member of the Australasian Society for Breast Disease, as well as the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners Specific Interests Breast Medicine group.

Dr Freeman also provides vital support in breast cancer screening, risk assessments, post-cancer surveillance, and the management of hormonal issues related to breast health.
