Dr Lauren Prictor

Dr Lauren Prictor is a dedicated General Practitioner and Certified Lifestyle Medicine Physician who is passionate about providing holistic, patient-centred care. She focuses on empowering her patients to take control of their health journey, moving away from brief consultations and quick prescriptions towards comprehensive, evidence-based strategies. Dr Prictor strongly advocates for Lifestyle Medicine, utilising self-care and behavioural interventions to prevent, treat, and manage chronic diseases. Her approach integrates key pillars of health, including nutrition, physical activity, sleep, and emotional well-being, to help patients achieve long-term wellness.

In addition to her expertise in Lifestyle Medicine, Dr Prictor has a diverse range of clinical interests. She is highly skilled in preconception and pregnancy care, holding accreditation to provide shared antenatal care. Her practice also focuses heavily on the health and well-being of infants and children, and she is actively pursuing further postgraduate qualifications in childhood health. As a qualified Psychological Strategies Provider, she is equipped to support patients with their mental health and emotional well-being. Her holistic outlook is further enhanced by her training as a Certified Yoga Teacher, allowing her to blend clinical medicine with mindfulness and physical wellness.

Dr Prictor earned her medical degree from James Cook University in 2012 and successfully completed her specialist General Practice training in 2018. Committed to continuous learning, she obtained her international board certification as a Lifestyle Medicine Physician in 2020. She subsequently completed a Fellowship with the Australasian Society of Lifestyle Medicine and graduated with a Master of Lifestyle Medicine from Southern Cross University in 2023.
