Dr Laurel Rae Moore

Dr Laurel Rae Moore is a dedicated and highly compassionate General Practitioner who provides comprehensive, patient-centred care. Known for her meticulous clinical approach and reassuring manner, she ensures that every patient feels thoroughly heard and supported. Dr Rae Moore is passionate about all aspects of family medicine, delivering personalised healthcare tailored to the unique needs of individuals and families within the community.

Dr Rae Moore graduated with her medical degree from the University of Queensland in 1980. She subsequently completed her specialist General Practice training at the University of California, San Francisco. Following her training, she served as the Director of a free clinic dedicated to supporting homeless individuals and refugees in San Francisco. Upon returning to Australia, she contributed significantly to Indigenous healthcare as both a clinical Practitioner and a Lecturer at the University of Queensland, and she has also served as a community representative on a major hospital board.

In her clinical practice, Dr Rae Moore maintains a strong focus on preventative health and chronic disease management. She has developed particular expertise in women's and paediatric health, sexual health across diverse communities, and breast cancer care. Her broad clinical interests also encompass men's health, oral medicine, and respiratory conditions such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). She is skilled in performing minor surgical procedures and conducting thorough cancer screenings to support long-term patient wellness.
