Dr Krishnarao Vaddadi

Dr Krishnarao Vaddadi is a highly accomplished Consultant Psychiatrist and Neuropsychiatrist who provides comprehensive, patient-centred care. He specialises in General Adult Psychiatry, with a particular focus on rehabilitation, consultation-liaison psychiatry, and neuropsychiatry. Dr Vaddadi is dedicated to delivering holistic and collaborative psychiatric care, working closely with General Practitioners, Psychologists, Neurologists, and family members to develop tailored management plans that support long-term positive outcomes for his patients.

His extensive clinical interests encompass a wide range of complex conditions, including movement disorders, neurodegenerative conditions, and the psychiatric aspects associated with Parkinson's disease. Dr Vaddadi is also highly skilled in transcultural psychiatry, trauma work, and impairment assessment. He utilises advanced therapeutic modalities, such as Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), to assist patients in their recovery journeys. Additionally, his research contributions have focused on tardive dyskinesia, Huntington's disease, and carer stress, reflecting his commitment to improving the lives of both patients and their support networks.

Dr Vaddadi obtained his primary medical qualification, Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), before pursuing postgraduate training in the United Kingdom. He holds a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Psychiatry from Leeds University and a Diploma in Psychological Medicine (DPM). He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (FRCPsych) in the United Kingdom and a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP). Alongside his clinical practice, Dr Vaddadi serves as an Adjunct Associate Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at Monash University, where he provides formal education to medical students and psychiatric trainees.
