Dr Koshala Rupassara

Dr Koshala Rupassara is a dedicated and highly skilled General Practitioner who provides comprehensive, patient-centred care. With a broad clinical background spanning multiple countries, he is committed to delivering high-quality medical services to individuals and families. Dr Rupassara is passionate about general medicine and strives to support his patients in achieving optimal health outcomes through preventative care and personalised treatment plans.

Dr Rupassara completed his medical degree in Sri Lanka, obtaining his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS). He subsequently relocated to the United Kingdom, where he gained extensive experience in surgery and emergency medicine before qualifying in General Practice. His postgraduate qualifications include Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons (MRCS), Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP), and the Diploma of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (DRCOG). Upon moving to Australia, he was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP).

While Dr Rupassara enjoys all aspects of General Practice, he has developed a strong clinical interest in minor surgical procedures, skin cancer surgery, and comprehensive skin cancer checks. His prior surgical and emergency medicine training equips him with the precise skills required to perform these delicate procedures safely and effectively. He is dedicated to raising awareness about skin health and ensuring early detection and management of skin cancers.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr Rupassara is known for his warm and approachable manner, ensuring patients feel comfortable and heard during consultations. He is fluent in both English and Sinhalese, allowing him to effectively communicate with and support a diverse patient demographic. Outside of his professional life, he enjoys listening to music, watching cricket, and spending quality time with his family.
