Kerrie O’Sullivan

Kerrie O’Sullivan is a holistic Counsellor and Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP) with over 20 years of experience in therapeutic and community service settings currently practicing at Grow Mindfully. Alongside this she is a registered member of the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA).

Kerrie holds a Graduate Diploma in Counselling and a Bachelor of Education (Habilitation), along with certifications in Somatic Experiencing, Motivational Interviewing, and Non-Violent Communication. Her practice draws on both her professional expertise and lived experience with developmental trauma, ADHD, addiction, disability, chronic pain, complex health conditions, anxiety, and depression. This lived understanding allows Kerrie to connect with clients in a grounded and empathetic way.

Kerrie combines talk therapy with body-focused somatic work. Her counselling approach is primarily person-centred and psychodynamic, emphasising safety, trust, and deep listening. Through Somatic Experiencing®, she works with the body’s ‘felt sense’ to release stored trauma and restore regulation.

Having personally experienced the healing power of Somatic Experiencing, Kerrie is passionate about guiding others on their path to emotional well-being. Outside of her practice, she enjoys ocean swimming, bushwalking, dancing, travel, and time with her family.
