Dr Kelly Schilling

Dr Kelly Schilling is a highly qualified Consultant Psychiatrist who specialises in General Adult and Old Age Psychiatry. With a compassionate and patient-centred approach, she dedicatedly supports older adults, focusing on patients aged 50 years and older. Dr Schilling is committed to providing comprehensive psychiatric care, helping individuals navigate the complexities of mental health in later life with dignity and reassurance.

Her clinical practice is particularly focused on addressing late-life depressive, psychotic, and anxiety disorders. Dr Schilling also possesses extensive expertise in the diagnosis and management of dementia, as well as the treatment of bipolar disorder. Through her clinical work, she aims to improve the quality of life for her patients by delivering tailored management plans that address both cognitive and emotional well-being.

Dr Schilling completed her medical education at the University of Tasmania, graduating with a Bachelor of Medical Science and a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery with Honours in 2001. She subsequently completed her specialist psychiatric training in Queensland, becoming a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists. Additionally, she holds an Advanced Certificate in Psychiatry of Old Age. Dedicated to the advancement of her field, Dr Schilling has contributed to the education of future medical professionals as a Lecturer and has actively supported Psychiatric Registrars and Medical Students throughout their training.
