Dr Kazuki Sumitomo

Dr Kazuki Sumitomo is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who is committed to providing comprehensive, patient-centred care. With a strong foundation in both pharmacy and medicine, he brings a unique perspective to family medicine, ensuring that each patient receives holistic and well-rounded medical attention. He believes in building long-term relationships with his patients, focusing on open communication and collaborative decision-making to support their health and well-being at every stage of life.

Dr Sumitomo completed his medical training, earning his Doctor of Medicine (MD) alongside a Bachelor of Pharmacy. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP). His dedication to community healthcare was recognised in 2019 when he was honoured with the New England GP Synergy Registrar of the Year award. Prior to transitioning into General Practice, he gained extensive clinical experience working in major regional hospitals in Queensland between 2015 and 2018, which helped him develop a robust clinical skillset.

As a versatile General Practitioner, Dr Sumitomo has developed a wide range of clinical interests to meet the diverse needs of his patients. He is particularly passionate about preventative care, health assessments, and chronic disease management, helping patients manage long-term conditions effectively. His areas of focus also include child health and immunisation, mental health support, skin cancer care, and travel medicine, including travel vaccinations.
