Dr Carpenter completed her undergraduate studies at the University of New South Wales, graduating with a Bachelor of Science with First Class Honours. She went on to earn her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Sydney. To further her expertise in paediatric care, she obtained a Diploma of Child Health. Dr Carpenter is also a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, reflecting her commitment to maintaining the highest standards of clinical excellence.
