Dr Kate Wilkinson

Dr Kate Wilkinson is a highly dedicated Medical Oncologist who provides compassionate, evidence-based care to patients navigating cancer diagnoses. Specialising in colorectal cancer, Dr Wilkinson is committed to delivering personalised treatment strategies that align with the latest clinical guidelines. She actively participates in multidisciplinary cancer care teams to ensure that each patient receives a comprehensive, co-ordinated approach to their treatment and recovery.

In addition to her clinical practice, Dr Wilkinson is deeply involved in oncology research and academic advancement. She is currently a PhD Candidate, focusing her doctoral thesis on immune biomarkers that predict the efficacy of chemotherapy in colorectal cancer. Her broader research interests encompass the real-world application of guideline-recommended treatments, as well as analysing patterns of clinical care and patient outcomes. Through this research, she aims to bridge the gap between clinical trials and everyday patient care, ultimately improving treatment efficacy and safety.

Dr Wilkinson completed her undergraduate medical degree at the University of Edinburgh, United Kingdom, in 2007. Following her initial training, she relocated to Australia in 2009, where she completed her specialist training in medical oncology. She was awarded her Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in 2017. She maintains active professional memberships and continues to contribute to the oncology community through both her clinical work and translational research.
