Dr Karen Chai

Dr Karen Chai is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who provides comprehensive, patient-centred care. With a focus on delivering reassuring and high-quality medical services, she specialises in all areas of general practice. Dr Chai is committed to supporting patients of all ages and backgrounds, ensuring they receive personalised attention tailored to their unique health needs.

Her clinical interests span a broad range of medical fields, with a particular focus on family health, women's health, and paediatrics. Dr Chai is highly skilled in managing chronic diseases, such as diabetes, and is passionate about preventative medicine. She is also associated with a maternity shared care alignment programme, allowing her to provide shared antenatal care in collaboration with major hospitals. Additionally, she offers specialised services including travel vaccinations, allergy testing, skin cancer checks, and the excision of skin lesions, as well as the insertion and removal of contraceptive implants.

Dr Chai completed her medical education at the University of Auckland, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) in 2007. Following her graduation, she relocated to Australia, where she gained valuable clinical experience working across various hospitals in South Australia and Queensland. In 2017, she achieved her Fellowship of The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP), reflecting her high standard of professional expertise and commitment to ongoing excellence in General Practice.
