Dr Karen Adey

Dr Karen Adey is a highly dedicated Specialist General Practitioner and Certified Lifestyle Medicine Physician who is committed to delivering personalised, evidence-based care. Known for her inclusive and non-judgemental approach, she focuses on optimising health and wellbeing across all stages of life. Dr Adey actively integrates lifestyle medicine principles into her practice to help patients prevent, manage, and, where appropriate, reverse chronic diseases.

With a broad clinical background, Dr Adey has developed a diverse range of clinical interests. She has extensive experience in general medicine, health promotion, and child health. Her expertise also encompasses family planning, women's health, and menopause management. Furthermore, she is skilled in primary care skin cancer medicine, allowing her to provide comprehensive skin checks and management for her patients.

Dr Adey completed her undergraduate degrees in medicine and science in South Africa before moving to the United Kingdom, where she completed her postgraduate General Practitioner training at the Cambridge Deanery and attained her Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners. In 2011, she was awarded her Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. Her additional qualifications include a Diploma in Child Health, a Diploma in Family Planning, and a Certificate of Primary Care Skin Cancer Medicine from the University of Queensland. She is also a certified Diplomate of the International Board of Lifestyle Medicine and an active member of the Australian Menopause Society.
