Dr Juman Farjo

Dr Juman Farjo is a highly qualified Gynaecologist, Laparoscopic Surgeon, and Ultrasound Specialist who is dedicated to providing comprehensive, patient-centred care. With a warm, caring, and insightful approach, she focuses on delivering precise diagnoses and tailored management plans within a supportive environment. Dr Farjo adopts a holistic philosophy to women's health, seamlessly integrating both surgical and non-surgical treatments. Her clinical practice encompasses a broad spectrum of complex gynaecological conditions. Dr Farjo has a particular interest in the management of abnormal uterine bleeding, endometriosis, pelvic floor prolapse, and urinary incontinence. She is also highly skilled in addressing chronic pelvic pain and complex conditions such as Asherman's syndrome. As a pioneer in advanced minimally invasive procedures, she utilises cutting-edge technology, including diode laser therapy for the hysteroscopic resection of uterine fibroids, polyps, uterine septa, and caesarean scar defects. Additionally, she specialises in managing cervical incompetence using advanced techniques such as trans-vaginal upper cervical cerclage, and is an accomplished Robotic Surgeon.

Dr Farjo completed her primary medical degree, obtaining her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), and went on to undertake specialist training to qualify as an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist. She completed advanced fellowship training in Medical Imaging and Ultrasound, as well as Advanced Gynaecological and Endoscopic Surgery, obtaining her Diploma in Diagnostic Ultrasound (DDU) in 2010 and completing her specialist training in 2011. Committed to professional excellence, she is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRANZCOG). Her professional memberships include the Medical Board of Australia, the Australian Medical Association, the UroGynaecological Society of Australasia, the Australasian Society for Ultrasound Medicine, the International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, the Australian Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology, and the Australian and New Zealand Vulvovaginal Society.
