Dr Julie O'Connell

Dr Julie O'Connell is a dedicated and highly experienced General Practitioner who is passionate about providing comprehensive, patient-centred healthcare. She adopts a holistic and integrative approach to medicine, focusing on the wellness of the whole body by combining traditional medical practices with evidence-based complementary therapies. Dr O'Connell believes in fostering strong therapeutic partnerships with her patients, tailoring wellness pathways that address physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

Dr O'Connell completed her medical education at the University of Western Australia, where she obtained her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. She also holds a Bachelor of Science and is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. Committed to expanding her clinical expertise, she completed three years of specialised training in Psychiatry and Counselling, and she is also a qualified Reflexologist and Reiki Master.

Throughout her career, Dr O'Connell has developed a diverse range of clinical interests, with a strong focus on family care, women's health, and mental health. She has previously worked as a Psychiatric Registrar and has extensive experience in emergency medicine, obstetrics, and paediatrics. She frequently assists patients navigating hormonal changes and the transitions associated with menopause. Additionally, her practice encompasses chronic disease management, acute medicine, and specialised treatments such as iron infusions, compounding prescriptions, and medicinal cannabis therapies.
