Julia Morton

Julia Morton is a registered Clinical Psychologist known for her warm, empathetic approach and dedication to supporting individuals across the lifespan in achieving psychological wellbeing. She holds a Master of Clinical Psychology from the Australian College of Applied Psychology, as well as undergraduate degrees in Business and Psychology from South Africa.

Morton has gained diverse clinical experience across various settings, including hospital inpatient psychiatric units, community mental health clinics for adolescents and adults, schools, and private practice. She has worked extensively with adolescents, adults, and families, offering both individual and group therapy for a wide range of psychological presentations. These include addictions, mood and anxiety disorders, chronic emotional and behavioural difficulties such as self-injurious behaviour, ADHD, eating disorders, and complex trauma.

In her role as a school psychologist, Morton has provided valuable support to adolescents and their families, addressing emotional, social, and academic challenges. She is particularly passionate about early intervention for young people experiencing mental health difficulties, with a strong focus on building resilience and preventing the development of enduring psychological issues.

Morton adopts a collaborative and client-centred approach, using evidence-based therapeutic modalities to develop tailored treatment plans that empower clients to meet their goals and overcome barriers to wellbeing.

Her qualifications include a Master of Clinical Psychology, a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours), a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, and a Bachelor of Commerce in Economics. She is registered with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with clinical psychology endorsement and is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and the APS College of Clinical Psychologists.
