Ms Joyce Shi

Dr Joyce Shi is an Australian-trained General Practitioner with additional qualifications in obstetrics, gynaecology, and public health, particularly in health promotion. She has practised in Brisbane, including at the University of Queensland Gatton Campus, and has also worked in Melbourne and Sydney.

Dr Shi is known for her warm, thoughtful, and patient-centred approach to care. She has a strong interest in women’s health and provides a wide range of services including antenatal shared care, contraception advice, cervical screening, Pap smears, menopause management, and the assessment and management of conditions such as endometriosis and polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS). She also performs procedures including Implanon insertion and removal, Mirena removal, and iron infusions.

Her clinical interests extend to adolescent and young adult health, preventative medicine, immunisations, travel vaccinations, sexual health, paediatrics, and chronic disease management. With a background in public health and health promotion, she places a strong emphasis on education, prevention, and empowering patients to make informed decisions about their health.

Dr Shi also speaks Mandarin, allowing her to provide accessible and culturally sensitive care to Mandarin-speaking patients and families.
