Dr Joseph O'Callaghan is a highly regarded Consultant Rheumatologist who specialises in adult general rheumatology. With a patient-centred approach, he is dedicated to diagnosing and managing a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions and inflammatory joint diseases. Dr O'Callaghan provides comprehensive care to help patients manage chronic pain, improve joint function, and enhance their overall quality of life.

Throughout his distinguished career, Dr O'Callaghan has held key clinical leadership roles, including serving as a Clinical Lead and a Visiting Rheumatologist at major public healthcare institutions. He completed his advanced specialist training in rheumatology across several major Australian cities, gaining extensive clinical experience in Brisbane, Adelaide, and Sydney. This broad training has equipped him with a deep understanding of complex autoimmune and inflammatory disorders.

Dr O'Callaghan obtained his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Queensland, graduating in 1975. He subsequently earned his Doctor of Medicine (MD) from the same institution.
