Dr Joeseph Dusseldorp, a Sydney-based specialist plastic and reconstructive surgeon, has a major interest in facial reanimation following facial palsy and nerve decompression for neuralgia. He offers patients the latest peripheral nerve surgery techniques, many of which have not previously been available in Australia. Working with oncologists, Dr Dusseldorp is also able to perform innovative treatments for breast and skin cancer reconstruction including complex facial skin cancer.

Dr Dusseldorp is also a clinical senior lecturer at the University of Sydney and collaborates with other scientists to further research in the area. He has a passion for removing the stigma of disease and deformity and aims to give his patients an improved quality of life following his treatment. He conducts research in the areas of ear malformation, facial palsy, cerebral palsy, neuralgia, migraines, and peripheral neuropathy as a result of diabetes.

Dr Dusseldorp gained his MBBS at the University of Sydney before spending two years undertaking international fellowships in innovative centres including Mass Eye and Ear, Harvard University, Boston, and Johns Hopkins. He spent time in Paris focusing on the management of ear deformities, and in 2019, was able to perform the first custom 3D print ear reconstruction in Australia.
