Dr Joseph De Luca

Dr Joseph De Luca is a highly regarded Consultant Immunologist and Allergy Specialist based in Ballarat, Australia. He provides comprehensive care for both paediatric and adult patients experiencing a wide range of allergic and immunological conditions. With a patient-centred and reassuring approach, Dr De Luca is dedicated to helping individuals and families understand, manage, and overcome complex immune system disorders, ensuring they receive the highest standard of clinical care.

His clinical expertise spans a diverse array of conditions, with a particular focus on food allergies, anaphylaxis, and medication hypersensitivities, including antibiotic allergies. Dr De Luca is also highly skilled in managing allergic rhinitis, asthma, eczema, and hives, and he offers specialised allergen immunotherapy to help patients build long-term tolerance. In addition to his clinical practice, he is actively involved in pioneering medical research, having led significant studies investigating the links between skincare products and the development of severe food allergies, as well as evaluating hospital-based drug allergy challenges.

Dr De Luca completed his undergraduate studies with a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology, followed by a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. Committed to broadening his expertise in global and community health, he also obtained a Master of Public Health and Tropical Medicine. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and actively contributes to medical education as a Director of Physician Education, helping to train and mentor the next generation of Medical Specialists.
