Dr Jonathon Hill

Dr Jonathon Hill is a highly dedicated Medical Oncologist who provides compassionate, patient-centred care to individuals navigating a cancer diagnosis. Based in Wollongong, he specialises in the management and treatment of a wide range of malignancies. Dr Hill has a particular clinical interest in cancers of the lung and thorax, head and neck cancers, melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancers, and genitourinary cancers. He is committed to delivering high-quality, evidence-based healthcare, working closely within multidisciplinary teams to ensure each patient receives a comprehensive and personalised treatment plan.

Dr Hill completed his medical education at the University of Wollongong, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in 2011. He undertook his initial postgraduate years locally before completing advanced sub-specialty training in medical oncology across several major metropolitan teaching hospitals. In 2018, he was awarded a Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in the Adult Medicine Division. Dr Hill maintains active professional memberships and remains at the forefront of oncology advancements to offer his patients the most current therapeutic options.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr Hill is deeply involved in medical education, research, and clinical governance. He serves as an Associate Professor and the Clinical Lead for the Discipline of Medicine at the University of Wollongong, where he helps shape the next generation of medical professionals. He also holds the position of Network Director of Physician Education for the local medical network. Dr Hill is actively engaged in clinical trials and research, contributing to the development of innovative cancer therapies and advocating for enhanced healthcare resources and training programmes within the regional community.
