Dr Jonathan Tey

Dr Jonathan Tey is a dedicated and highly skilled General Practitioner who is passionate about delivering comprehensive, high-quality primary healthcare to patients of all ages. He adopts a patient-centred approach, focusing on preventative care and building strong, trusting relationships with those under his care. Dr Tey has gained extensive clinical experience working across various metropolitan and rural hospitals in Queensland, which has equipped him with a broad and versatile medical skillset.

Dr Tey completed his medical training at the Bond University School of Medicine, qualifying in 2010. To further his expertise in specialised areas of medicine, he obtained a Diploma in Child Health from the University of Sydney. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and serves the profession as an examiner and by teaching General Practice Registrars. Additionally, he is an accredited Skin Cancer Doctor with the Skin Cancer College of Australasia, reflecting his commitment to ongoing professional development and clinical excellence.

In his daily practice, Dr Tey has developed key clinical interests in skin cancer medicine, chronic disease management, antenatal care, and paediatric health. Beyond his local clinical work, he is deeply committed to global health initiatives, actively supporting a primary healthcare project in Northern Uganda that provides essential medical services to resource-poor communities. Outside of his professional commitments, he enjoys cycling, supporting his favourite sports teams, and spending quality time with his family.
