Dr John Wentworth

Dr John Wentworth is a highly regarded Consultant Endocrinologist who has dedicated his career to the diagnosis, treatment, and management of endocrine disorders. With a deep commitment to patient-centred care, he specialises in addressing complex hormonal imbalances, thyroid diseases, and metabolic conditions. Dr Wentworth is particularly recognised for his clinical focus on diabetes, including the prediction, prevention, and management of type 1 diabetes, as well as the role of gastric band surgery in diabetes management.

Dr Wentworth completed his medical training at the University of Queensland, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery with First Class Honours in 1994. He subsequently pursued advanced academic research, earning a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Cambridge in 2000. To further his clinical expertise, he undertook specialist training in endocrinology, achieving Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2004.
