Dr John Henderson

Dr John Henderson is a dedicated General Practitioner who is committed to providing comprehensive and compassionate care to the community of Bannockburn. Throughout his career, Dr Henderson has pursued advanced training to expand his clinical capabilities, particularly in areas that benefit semi-rural communities. He has a strong interest in skin cancer management, including performing minor surgical procedures, which remains a key focus of his practice. Additionally, he possesses specialised skills in managing emergency medicine cases, eye and ear conditions, and musculoskeletal issues affecting the knees, ankles, and feet. He is also actively involved in medical education, dedicating time to teaching and mentoring medical students and training General Practitioners.

Dr Henderson completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree. He went on to achieve his Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 2003. Committed to rural health, he also obtained a Fellowship of Advanced Rural General Practice (FARGP) with a focus on Emergency Medicine in 2004. He maintains active professional memberships in these colleges, ensuring his practice remains aligned with the highest standards of modern medicine.
