Overall, the appointment was okay, but we left feeling a bit disappointed. We waited almost 30 minutes past our appointment time, which made our consultation lasted under 30 minutes, we didn’t feel like we received the guidance we were hoping for. The purpose of the appointment was to go through our test results and discuss the treatment options. We expected a detailed conversation about why IVF was being recommended, whether there were any other options available, and what the pros and cons of each approach would be. Instead, we felt like the discussion lacked depth, and many things were left unexplained. We also would have appreciated more information about the IVF process itself, including the treatment timeline, what to expect at each stage, and how everything would work. Rather than walking us through it, we were simply told that if we wanted to proceed, we could book an appointment with the nurse, and the reception team would discuss the costs and other details. Towards the end of the appointment, we also felt that things became quite rushed. We left with more questions than answers and found ourselves having to research and Google a lot of information afterwards to better understand our situation. We were hoping to leave feeling informed and confident about our next steps, but unfortunately that wasn’t our experience.

Dr Scaffidi was extremely efficient but also kind and caring.
