Dr Jessica Poon

Dr Jessica Poon is a dedicated Consultant General Paediatrician who provides comprehensive, compassionate care for children and adolescents. With a practice philosophy centred on evidence-based medicine and family-focused care, Dr Poon believes in the power of collaboration. She works closely with young patients, their families, and multidisciplinary health professionals to ensure the best possible health outcomes. Her reassuring and professional approach helps create a supportive environment for children of all ages, from infancy through to late adolescence.

As a Specialist in Paediatrics, Dr Poon has a broad range of clinical interests. She is highly experienced in general paediatric medicine, managing a wide variety of childhood illnesses and developmental concerns. Dr Poon has a particular interest in adolescent medicine, specialising in the assessment and management of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and eating disorders. Additionally, she is highly skilled in supporting young people who are navigating chronic and complex health needs, helping them transition smoothly through different stages of growth.

Dr Poon completed her medical degree at the Australian National University, graduating in 2008. She undertook her specialist paediatric training through a leading children's hospital network in Sydney, concluding her training as an Adolescent Fellow at a major paediatric hospital. Furthering her expertise, she obtained a Master of Public Health from the University of Sydney and is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. Committed to advancing the field of medicine, Dr Poon has also contributed to training future doctors, serving as a Lecturer for postgraduate paediatric medicine programmes and teaching Junior Medical Staff.
