Dr Jane Son

Dr Jane Son is a highly dedicated and dual-qualified Consultant Paediatrician specialising in both General Paediatrics and Developmental Paediatrics. With a deep passion for delivering integrated, family-centred care, she focuses on supporting children and their families through comprehensive assessments and ongoing management. Her clinical expertise spans a wide range of developmental, behavioural, and general paediatric concerns, ensuring that each child receives personalised support to reach their full potential.

Throughout her career, Dr Son has held significant clinical and leadership roles across both private and public healthcare sectors. She has served as a Clinical Lead for a child and family health service within a major local health district and has extensive experience working within multidisciplinary teams in tertiary developmental assessment services and private paediatric clinics. Her collaborative approach allows her to coordinate care effectively, particularly for children with complex developmental and behavioural needs.

Dr Son completed her medical degree and a Diploma of Paediatrics at the University of New South Wales, before obtaining a Master of International Public Health from the University of Sydney. She completed her specialist paediatric training through a prominent children's hospital network. Dr Son is dual qualified in General Paediatrics and Community Child Health, which is the sub-specialty for Developmental Paediatrics. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and holds active memberships in several professional organisations, including the Australasian Society for Developmental Paediatrics, the Australian ADHD Professionals Association, and the Society of Developmental and Behavioural Paediatrics in the United States. Additionally, she is an accredited administrator for specialised developmental assessment tools, including the Griffiths III Developmental Scales, ADI-R, and ADOS-2.
