Dr James Tang

Dr James Tang is a highly dedicated Nephrologist and Transplant Physician who specialises in providing comprehensive care for patients experiencing a wide range of kidney-related conditions. Known for his compassionate and reassuring approach, Dr Tang is committed to helping patients navigate their unique kidney health journeys. He manages all aspects of renal medicine, ensuring that each individual receives personalised treatment plans informed by the latest clinical advancements.

Dr Tang completed his Bachelor of Medicine (B Med) and subsequently earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) focusing on kidney transplantation and the optimisation of patient healthcare, for which he received a prestigious research scholarship. He also holds a Master of Clinical Epidemiology and is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP). As an active Clinician and Researcher, Dr Tang has published numerous peer-reviewed papers in international medical journals and regularly contributes to the academic community as a scientific reviewer. He is also deeply involved in medical education, teaching and mentoring medical students and junior medical officers.

In his clinical practice, Dr Tang addresses a broad spectrum of renal concerns, with a particular interest in kidney transplantation, dialysis, and general nephrology. He provides expert management for acute and chronic kidney disease, hypertension, diabetic-related kidney disease, kidney stones, and urinary tract infections.
