Dr James Millsom is a dedicated General Practitioner who focuses his medical practice on the diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of skin cancer. He is deeply committed to the early detection of skin malignancies and is passionate about educating patients on effective skin cancer prevention. Dr Millsom believes that general practice provides a unique opportunity to make an immediate, positive impact on a patient's health and well-being through proactive skin care.

Before focusing on skin cancer medicine, Dr Millsom gained valuable clinical experience working in emergency medicine and occupational medicine. This diverse background provided him with a strong foundation in acute care and procedural skills, which he seamlessly transitioned into general practice. Today, he is highly proficient in a wide range of clinical procedures, including dermoscopy, skin excisions, biopsies, cryotherapy, skin cancer surgery, and suturing. He also takes a keen interest in professional education, sharing his knowledge and teaching other General Practitioners the essential skills required to manage skin diseases.

Dr Millsom completed his Bachelor of Biomedical Science in 2003, followed by his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery in 2008. Demonstrating a commitment to the highest standards of general practice, he was awarded his Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2015. To further refine his expertise in his chosen field, Dr Millsom has obtained several postgraduate qualifications, including a Professional Diploma of Skin Cancer Medicine, a Professional Diploma of Skin Cancer Surgery, and a Professional Diploma of Dermoscopy. He regularly participates in university-accredited training to ensure his clinical skills remain at the forefront of modern medicine.
