Dr James Mackay

Dr James Mackay is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who provides comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages. With a patient-centred approach, he is committed to delivering high-quality medical care that supports the long-term health and well-being of individuals and families. Dr Mackay has developed a broad range of clinical expertise, allowing him to address diverse healthcare needs with professionalism and reassurance.

Throughout his career, Dr Mackay has cultivated a strong interest in several key areas of medicine. He is highly skilled in family medicine, children's health, and pregnancy care, ensuring that young families receive supportive and thorough guidance. His clinical focus also extends to women's health, sexual health, and LGBT+ health, providing an inclusive and welcoming environment for all patients. Additionally, Dr Mackay is experienced in dermatology and performing minor surgical procedures, including Mirena insertion.

Dr Mackay completed his undergraduate studies at Monash University before moving to South Australia to obtain his medical degree from Flinders University. He completed his initial medical internship in Adelaide and subsequently gained extensive clinical experience working across several major hospitals in departments such as obstetrics, paediatrics, emergency medicine, and plastic surgery. In 2017, he obtained a Diploma of Obstetrics, and in January 2020, he was awarded his Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.
