Dr James Goldstein

Dr James Goldstein is a highly qualified Consultant Psychiatrist who provides comprehensive mental health care to adult patients. With a compassionate and evidence-based approach, he specialises as a General Adult Psychiatrist and an Addiction Psychiatrist. Dr Goldstein is dedicated to helping individuals navigate complex mental health challenges, offering personalised assessment and treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique needs. His clinical focus encompasses a wide range of conditions, including mood and anxiety disorders, substance use disorders, and post-traumatic stress disorder.

In addition to traditional psychiatric care, Dr Goldstein is a recognised leader in the field of neurostimulation, particularly repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS). He has completed advanced training and research in neurostimulation at a prominent research institute in Sydney, contributing to peer-reviewed scientific publications. Dr Goldstein utilises this non-invasive, drug-free therapy to support patients experiencing treatment-resistant depression and other complex mental health conditions, helping them achieve better clinical outcomes and improved quality of life.

Dr Goldstein obtained his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from the University of London, alongside a Bachelor of Medical Science. He completed further postgraduate studies, earning a Master of Clinical Medicine with distinction. Committed to maintaining the highest standards of clinical practice, he is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP) and holds a formal Certificate in Addiction Psychiatry.
