Dr James Edward McLeod is a highly dedicated and award-winning General Practitioner and Rural Generalist based in Renmark, Australia. Dr McLeod completed his medical training at Flinders University, where he earned a Bachelor of Medical Science in 2006, followed by a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in 2009. He holds a Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) with a Rural Generalist recognition (FRACGP-RG). Additionally, he attained Fellowship with the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (FACRRM). His outstanding contributions to rural medicine were formally recognised when he was named the inaugural Rural Generalist of the Year by the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) in 2025.
