Dr Jacqueline Gilbert

Dr Jacqueline Gilbert is a highly qualified Consultant Geriatrician and General Physician who is dedicated to providing comprehensive, compassionate care for older individuals. With a clinical focus on promoting healthy ageing and maintaining independence, she specialises in addressing the complex health needs that often arise in later life. Dr Gilbert is committed to delivering holistic, patient-centred care, working closely with patients, their families, and carers to optimise overall well-being and quality of life.

Her primary areas of clinical interest include cognition and dementia, functional maintenance, and the management of polypharmacy. Dr Gilbert understands the unique challenges associated with cognitive decline and works diligently to support patients through detailed assessments and tailored management plans. Additionally, she focuses on rationalising complex medication regimens to minimise side effects and drug interactions, ensuring that each patient receives safe and effective treatment that supports their physical and cognitive function.

Dr Gilbert completed her medical degree at the University of Melbourne Medical School and went on to undertake specialist training in Geriatric Medicine. She holds a Master of Clinical Epidemiology and is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. Alongside her clinical practice, Dr Gilbert is actively involved in medical education and training.
